I'll give you some hints for #7 if you help me with #8 (which is one of those damn stereograms that I have never, ever been able to see!)
clue about how to use the mask
you need to rotate it 180 degrees like the previous one
clue about the letters you find
it's a simple Caesar cipher
use http://www.antilles.k12.vi.us/math/c...ut/caesar4.htm if you need to

on level 5
*** means "a sword in a rock"?? didn't find the answer with google. I read this forum but haven't seen anyone else writing anything about this, so am I completely lost?
There was the letters.bmp and the mask.bmp and I just printed them both and then I turned the mask.bmp upside down and it revealed the sentence: "the sword in a rock". Did anyone else get it?

this one is making my brain hurt... Ive tried using the background as a mask, but im not getting anything that makes sense from either the writing in red or the other, fainter, text.

On to #10 (something totally new!)
clue for #9
it's similar to #8 (salt and pepper), but harder to find -- if you can read html, check the source and get your bifocals out for the right place to click
and once you find the question
Don't think Dickens -- The puzzle maker is obviously a vintage comic-book fan!
