My guess is that the answer is numbers. I don't know the first,

the second could be 12 and the third 8

Uh, that's weird. I've had the correct answer from the start (I may suck at algebra, but I'm not that bad!), but it didn't work. I just tried it for the fourth time, and it worked. Strange.
