your mother - say the numbers that the hands point to outloud in this order: seconds, minutes, hours

registered - you don't do either, you can start off reading the phrase by following the direction of the arrows at the bottom starting at the backspace arrow.

spregs - move 17 notches to the right, record the letter, move 36 notches to the left, record the letter, and so on for each of the numbers. You'll end up with a word.
