the only other hint i've seen for it is 'its not something you would worry about if your child had, but you would not expectt a child to have one.'

i just can't figure out what it is!

Well that's what i thought, but why would she be worried about that!

me neither, i wondered if its a brush or something, but it looks like the 'spikes' are only on the outside edge. The inside flat surface looks green to me... i was then thinking it was a model of something, but i think thats too obscure......

I feel like its something I should probably recognise instantly but..........

so far I think the description is:
about 3 or 4 centimetres tall?
black base - stepped (might not be stepped, might be carpet pattern LOL)
silver/white upper edge with possibly something on it.
orange metal pins
green central area....

sound familiar to anyone? its not a computer chip...
