have you taken algebra? write out the equation using x and y ('this' and 'that') and solve for one. then you can set up the ratio

I've taken my algebra... now if i can remeber it, lol. Ratios, addition, squares, I can do that.

So I have to add x (this) and y (that) , square x (this) and divide by three. And get an answe for x (this) to put in the ratio? Im confused, so this doesn't have to do wiht changing letters to numbers?
