Actually I don't really understand the second word, I have the first but I don't get the "adding stuff".

add the #'s you see on the keys to the numerical representation of the 4 letters/notes. then convert back into 4 new letters. you get "2" (words) from "1" (word) that way.

subtract it... your 2nd and 3rd letters might be reversed.

I just got to this spot - one of the words from the piano keys is:

look at the notes on a keyboard corresponding to the colors and then add/subtract down the alphabet to get a 4 letter word

The -4 does not sit on A or D

i think your notes are mixed up, check them again. it's a different letter that gets -four'ed.

well, i'm stuck in 2 places (somehow i jumped ahead 4 levels at one point). the 2nd hall (#19) and the room of fears/errors one (mid 20's?).

ok, i finally got it. thought it was just those 2 letters being said (D I) at 1st.

I'm still having difficulty - maybe I am listening to the wrong thing but that would be random. I'm trying to unscramble some words to spell them differently since what I heard makes no sense - hint please?
