Remember how the first relic room had you manipulate your location in a way you hadn't up to that point? This is similar. There is a part of your location that indicates that you can descend. Change that part of the location to what it would be once you descend.

thanks king. i tried that earlier but took off the "file name". maybe golf was doing the same thing.

(so hard to try every manipulation until you know exactly what to manipulate.)
