If you have the other compare them, take note of the same ones

Now don't forget your A B C's and play with it and just the chessboard knowledge needed

I've read this over a few times and I still don't get what I need to do
Just me being dense but what am I missing here ?

There are 3 hints which look like formulae. You need to work out what they mean.

It is much simplier that it looks.
