I can't find the logic behind the directions

Each color likes a certain part of the wall more than other parts.
Also: each color has it's very own direction. Knowing how many directions there are could be helpful for the first hint I gave.

This is Zanes hint from EG24....I must be thick coz I DO understand what you both say but it's not clear for me...

very simple to explain is
wall is attracting an arrow
1 color = 1 direction
wall is dangerous , you will not want to go move beside the wall.
