jack, I found that answer as well Googling it (and obviously tried it out), it seems there are either faulty websites on the subject or there's not an agreement on what would be the second hardest...I don't even know which of them would be the technically correct answer

And are there any online riddles whatsoever that you can't solve without getting any help? I'm beginning to doubt that

Diamonds and the answer to the riddle are natural minerals, cubic boron nitride is synthetic compound. Knowing that, my personal opinion and choice would the answer to the riddle as the 2nd hardest material...The Science portion of the riddle as now ended. We now return to our regular programming already in progress
