Cheeks - I found the poem the line is from, but I'm none the wiser.

well the poem is about death, which would tie in with the picture as they are the gates of heaven...

Yep, that green speck looks to me like a Play button or a reversed speaker icon. And I've been wondering about the two too

Hmm, perhaps another straw but I found out that the poet is Greek, perhaps the picture then related to the Greek Gods, perhaps somehow to the second of them in some order?
