I have no idea what it exactly is but if you search for the two connecting clues on wikipedia and look for something in the search reults with the same amount of letters you will have it- sorry not much of a clue but its how I got it

I got the one by cowboy that has been driving many people crazy....

First you have to get the one on the other side. Then search in Wikipedia both terms and the first result is the answer.

I found them both too with your hints, and I can give more hints for people to more easily figure it out.

For the 8 letter word, you need the name of a website, that seems to be famous. The karma link relates to a scoring system.

Then the 10 letter word is the nickname of one of the co-founders of the website.

And with that two more maps was finished, woohoo!

the first word is right think of their jobs
