No, it shouldn't have any effect on it.
Make sure you delete your cookies, and then don't play from the link in your favorites, but start from the main page http://shygypsy.com/farm/p.cgi
I've tried it out, and it worked for me. I hope it will work for you, too

Started this Yesterday, I have 10 maps, none are finished, I'm kind of confused on magazines... ( and I'm missing 2 that I know of on the farm.)
