How annoying. Have a different computer now and am having to do the levels again and I've forgotten my previous answers.
I am stuck on 6 again and I don't know where to start. Trial and error seems such a long and laborious task.

I basically worked it out on paper.

You need to work out how far up the ball goes and then how far down it comes and you need to do this a fewe times cos remember it halves each time it comes down.

The trick is knowing when to stop halving.

I stopped before the whole number got to six.
