What the hell is this?

Question number three in the Water Way part.
Below is a photograph of a particular organic, non-human 'thing'. Can you identify what this object is? (Not just the dark area, but the whole object)

Black babies in the red house within the white house within the green house.

I just can't figure out the picture, AT ALL. It's impossible. However, I have managed to figure something out from the Black baby thing, the green house, isn't just any green house, it's either a greenhouse as in where plants are kept, or, it's a green house as in a green outer-shell, as it were, which also leads me to think of a plant. I mean, plants are organic, so. It would work. But I have this feeling I might be wrong. Whatever, just gimme a hint or the answer even. I don't mind which, just help meeeee! Aaaah!
