Despite hints in thread I can't get level 16. I've got one hint box (or whatever they are called) which isn't very helpful... Or maybe it is but I can't understand it.

This one can be tricky, try just entering what you see for a few hints... It's difficult to offer much more than is in the thread already but if you need a bigger push PM me what you have so I can give a more specific hint.

is there a hint to the particular work to apply the a/s/l to? I'm a bit unclear about how to read the 5 6 for "l", which makes trying the entire canon a bit labour intensive.

is there a hint to the particular work to apply the a/s/l to? I'm a bit unclear about how to read the 5 6 for "l", which makes trying the entire canon a bit labour intensive.

The specific work can be determined from the first part, the question and the cipher.

a.s.l are all found using same method ( numbers within numbers). The "l" part is only different in the sense it's 2 digits but work them out individually, first from 5 then 6.

Also, this author's work is printed in various editions so the "l" may not be exact but will be very close if it isn't.
