It's not a question of whether or not it's allowed, but whether people do it or not. I'm not asking anyone to break the rules. Look at the past few pages. There are tons of posts that just say "I'll PM you," rather than try to give small hints for everyone's benefit. I know and agree with the rules, but I think it would be more helpful for everyone if PMing was only used in cases where someone wants a solution or link.

One last post on this off-topic subject: I apologize if I've offended anyone, as that wasn't my intent. I realize now that my previous posts seemed quite harsh. My ranting (which probably stemmed from lack of sleep) was not directed at any person in particular, least of all those who have helped me through PMs in the past. I was referring to all riddle threads, and many different gamers. Again, I apologize.

I must agree with Patricia73... the hints given for this level may seem obvious to those who have completed it, but it is still cryptic to me. I have tried to find more assistance from the riddle's forum, but there are no posts for this level.

I haven't sussed 17 either, I know what the ? are and I've done what the source says but still nothing!
