I translated the binary but it translates to a question mark. i converted it to decimals googled the decimal and i got a bunch of info on tiptonville but thats not the answer. ive read all the other posts but i dont get it.

Your second method was correct. Onyx would suggest that you try to see the answer from a riddler's point of view. PM me if you need more.
