  • right, thats my new beautiful dragon...

I was thinking about a dead end all the time as the answer seemed to be much too obvious.
but anyway, has this way been discussed already?
still believe there is way out of this one,

    • Yeah...we discussed it, and seeing as absolutely nothing has been changed from the original it was decided to be a dead end.

          • torment...indeed...

@ASL: Nah you didn't ruin the party, it's better to know that a level might be a deadend, then trying for an undetermined period of time to get to the next level

By the way, I found the level you meant by "a famous word from The Raven"! You think that's a deadend too, like the redchalk-painting? Have you found out yet what kind of writing it might be??

[still haven't found the key for the snake/dragon]

EDIT: Nvm, I found out which language it is... ...(not that it would help...*grr*)

I translated the message on the "Triangle/Snake biting its tail" of the Alchemy-Notebook, if it gives anyone an idea...(who knows..)

            • correct, dieamond,

I thought about those nine letters round the triangel to be a solution. I found no meaning, not even as an anagram.
But its right what ASL said, the worm is very unlikely to be a regular path, as all symptoms of a deadend can be found: much too obvious answer, unaltered picture...
definitely the blocks must be deciphered, but as there are only 25 columns and no 26 I still believe that each column must be deciphered with an own code and the only way to receive 25 codes is the last page in the gecko-book...

              • gecko-book.. è_é

                @ Snowman:
Yeah maybe, but there's still one major problem: There's a theorie which says that the last page on Gecko's book might be the d'Agapeyeff-cipher, which hasn't been decoded so far!!

Have a look at this: D'Agapeyeff-Cipher
Personnally I think that it can't be a D'Agapeyeff, since how would Gecko have been able to code a message with this cipher, if no one decoded it so far??!

                • maybe the gecko-book it the wrong path as well...

but I have another new idea, which may have not yet been figured out....

remember the cockroaches?? the solution could only be found by painting the paths of the cockroaches...
what if the solution to the blocks is a graphical one as well, just better hided, behind many blocks with letters on it??
maybe if you colour all letters with a particular orientation you can see something. I guess the red and green combination has no meaning
the letters of the blocks are all mixed up so homogeneous, that I can not believe in a cipher that is hided in the letters (without external codes)... and what about the slugs or dog-excrements or however you may call it.. they just make no sense among the letters....

                  • graphical stuff xD

Yeah that's quite a good idea!

I didn't think of it! I'll see if I can find something

                    • Hi all. I tried doing the cockroach drawing method on the blocks puzzle and couldn't come up with anything meaningful (although that doesn't mean that there is anything there). I have tried several different versions of the shadow cipher that was previously used, but to no avail. The shape on the blocks _is_ a rabbit. The set of blocks is made by Cambium Lair, my nephew has a set of antique ones that my grandma gave him. I really think that there isn't anything special about the blocks themselves, just that GG just used that particular picture of some blocks to make the puzzle.

I know that there is an alternate path from the rosary level that leads to a man wearing a gas mask with another cipher, but I can't seem to figure out the answer to rosary that will lead me to it. [EDIT: Found it.]

My deadends so far are: joker, the static tv, blocks, the alchemy book page with the maze, self portrait in red chalk (which is a loop), and I think that's it.

So that's all I know. If anyone has anything to add, I would much appreciate it.

how did you find a second key?? did you just try everything you could think of?

                        • I didn't know about a second path until I read some clues on nordinho. I am more inclined to believe the new path is a dead end simply because the clue doesn't really seem to make sense, but the trick to the blocks is so hard that it seems the best bet to work on gas mask for a while.

                          For the alternate path:

                          • Hum.... the only "little darling" I might have come accross was the girl with the glooming eyes!
Although I wouldn't refer to her as a "little darling" *lol*

what I would bring along as a present ...let's see....a straitjacket might be appropriated *lool*

No honestly I would bring a Teddybear as a gift but obviously that's not the key *hehe* .. it's not a doll either...

@ Isendre: Are you talking about a gift for normal children, or for a zombie-girl like the one in the game?

and the credit actually belongs to Elvedon from Unfiction who was curious why he was getting to this weird gasmask man instead of the horrid blocks

hey all.. I'm in desperate need for help. I'm stuck on the Mayan hieroglyphics, after the "rot" level. I've translated everything, looked at it every which way..

                                I know that
but I'm completely stuck. nothing I'm doing is working. it'd be cool if I could PM someone with what I've got, just to see if I'm going at all in the right direction. so far, I'm into my seventh hour of desperation, and, ironically, torment.
