Ok so I tried it this way:

If I say hi to my three sisters, my three sisters say hi to me and my two brothers. My two brothers say hi to my three sisters and to my mom, my mom says hi to my two brothers and my father, my father says hi to us all and great-grandfather and grandmother, And Great-Grandfather and Grandmother said hi to us all. How many his were said?

"I" said hi to my three sisters just once and my three sisters said hi to me all just once, which makes four. They say hi to my two brothers which makes three + four = seven. My both two brothers say hi once to my three sisters and my mom, which makes two + two + seven = eleven. My mom says hi to my two brothers and my father, which is two times ( once to the brothers and once to the father ), which makes two + eleven = thirteen. Then my father says hi ONCE to us ALL, and once to great-grandfather & grandmother, which makes two times. Then they say hi to us all, both just once, which makes two + two + thirteen = seventeen.

Does that make any sense? I've tried trillion different ways to count this but still no luck. I've got seventeen, sixteen, eleven, ten, fifty, fortyseven and so on...... ugh.

I guess I gotta keep trying, eh.
