Let me give you guys a couple hints:
- Techland: Reading the "mp3" file is a 2-step process.

- Fire Mountain: I don't think I can give a hint here. Whatever I will say will be the solution. Just keep trying.

- Urban:
--g*****s is good (I once thought that that was the hardest thing to find in the 4 Gates. Congrats ) Just keep it aside now. You'll need it later.
--pinnochio: I wrote a short script for this one which did all the conversion for me. If you know programming it is a 2 minute job. If you don't... I don't know... I can't think of an easy way of doing it.
--rap: Remember the wizard level?
--gap: gaps are important... verrry... you are on the right track.
--times: those will come at hand when you are done with all the stations.

You guys mention g*****s, but the word I got only has 5 letters (but the same starting and ending letters).
Can anyone else help with pinocchio/ascii art?
Tried playing all the notes twice (rap) but neither time worked. Does the octave (eg low or high C) matter?
And with mind the gap, there are HEAPS of big gaps in between the start and end of amnesya code in the source, just unusualy big spaces in the lines of code. I'm guessing I need to somehow apply them to the gapless start and endofamnesyacode.

Look, I hate posting every little query I have here but I am STUMPED. How do I complete g***s by looking at the puzzle?
I've replaced on with 1 and off with 0 but still have nothing. ARGH!!!

go wrong with 1s and 0s and then use ascii. not that hard, you're so close.

- It doesn't have to work by itself and nothing has to happen. You just have to guess it!

Still not getting the mp3 thing. solved the phone, got coordinates, not sure where to use them. still no idea on serial, qwerty, or the equation

I have the entire sentence EXCEPT for what I need. I'm guessing this is what is temporary, not sure what to do differently

Found the 5 areas...found pinocchio's picture, I see what it is, but everything I try gets me nothing. Found the "sheet music" to the rap, cant figure out what song it is, though. still don't know where to put the g****** from the graffiti. Not sure about the times. made some numbers out of the spaces, and cant find how it relates to a word yet...

for the serial, use internet. learn how to connect 'a's and 'b's together (maybe you already know. it's cross cable) in this way you'll find the values of these letters. and then use them in the address bar. then solve the equation. i hope i remember it right. qwerty has a tale for you.

Ok, thanks to A LOT of help from nur, scorpion_9 and oaky, I'm almost done with the gates.

I know these work together, I know
what the pic of the cable is, I think I know the parallels. I've tried
solving the equation, but most of the things I've come up with involve
me taking the cube root of something. I'm guessing I'm not using the
parallels right. I think there must be some other page I need to get to,
but nothing from what I have come up with works.

EDIT: just found 16 more clues on techland! I think I have solved the equation, anyone I can PM to check?

Yeah, I've had the music for a while, but I've been playing it with no result, as you said. If octave does matter, that would explain it. But according to post #3169, we do need the name of the song. I think the piano is just there to let you know what it sounds like. It does sound like a song I've heard before, but I can't place it. I've also been told that the level can be solved without it...

I think we just need the name of the song or the band that played it. If you know some of the lyrics, that would help find the name...

But I don't think the lyrics in the source are the lyrics for the music you get from the source.

What I thought when I saw that particular riddle was, when they were designing this level they probably thought about: most people from their target community should be able guess what the melody is.

What songs do you think you would put there if you were designing the game?
