well....

there are a bunch of levels ready. DonD and AWP have to make (a) nice Chapter(s) out of that. some levels are tested, but most of them still need testing.

OK, I finally give up...this isn't a question about the answer to a puzzle, but rather a fundamental question about image-modifying software...I am on Level IV of the first section of OddPawn, and I am trying to modify the picture to see what is hidden in it. So far, I have downloaded Picasa, Gimp, and Serif, and I can't use any of them to open the image, which I can save as either a .BMP or .ART file. I have an image converter which can convert images to JPG or GIF, but it refuses to convert the image for me. What do I do? I have been trying to make this work without assistance for 2 days and I absolutely give up!! And this isn't even the puzzle itself!!!!

try something simple like Iview32. just adjust contrast or brightness.
try a screengrab (just press printscreen key) and paste that into your viewer.
i can't see what format this image is. and it wouldnt save either.
it's been so long since i played this level. i think i cheated and found the answer on a different board.
