Lol, stuck on level 1 of chapter 7. Not a great start. Stuck on same part as Brendever. Did the obvious with what I have, but what I get is not much help.

brain that is what i have posited after staring at it for more than half an hour... that puzzle is usually accompanied by "clues" to solve it.. can't figure out the meaning of the "subtract" hint either.
