I am stuck at the real level 3.

I know in what way the 2 "areas" are related, but that is all. I have no idea how to connect the star/flower frame to this. I suppose the word almost holds a clue, but I haven't figured this out (yet). Eighteen years.. well I am sure I will know why 18 years is of value to this all once I have solved this level, but at the moment I am clueless about it.

Can anyone give me a nudge, please.

Well the lot of us are on 33 thru 36! 36 is another stumper!!!! I may be back to ask for hints again lol!

yes, 36 is hard as long as you don't know the way
and I am quite proud of it as I don't think I ever seen this kind of level in any of the other riddles
but there is a very helpful clue in the source, and you might have seen it before in a previous level. If so, its context might help you understand how to use it.
