Can you clarify which one you're on?

Divinyl: round 2, puzzle 1 is the one with lists of letters followed by a question mark. The first list is

P G F J Q L ?

I got a hint from the forum, but I'm still stuck. I guess this is a set and I'm supposed to find the missing letter (five missing letters in total), but I have no clue how these go together. Are they initials of something (Peter George Frank Joey...)? Or is it the shapes of the letters I'm supposed to look at? Any hint?
