what do they all have in common? and what do the ones that are missing from between them have in common? it helps to write out the alphabet on a piece of paper and have a look at it

I don't get number 2.

ok we start with Planets and remove a letter to make a new word, yes?
Then with that word we remove another letter to make another word and so on until we only have a 1 letter word (which logically MUST be A).
There are so many possiblities, you could be there forever trying them!
Even starting from A, once you get to 3 and 4 letters it starts getting to lots of possibilities.

I know the creator says you've got to be Mensa standard but isn't he or she taking the mickey?
