Hi all,

Stuck again Im afraid. I think this game has finally got too hard for me. Im currently working on bodley mansion left and the dead river following the right bodley mansion branch. Ive read through some previous posts and theres a lot of references to 'eggs'. I thought I knew what I should be doing with the picture of bodley mansion (centre) but dont seem to get results. Unfortunately I dont have access to picture manipulation software if thats whats required. As for the dead river Ive got the instructions to go with this one but am still stuck. The clue shows Im meant to look something up but I dont know what. Ive also read a lot about needing to play with music files for a later riddle and my computer doesnt have speakers. Am I going to have serious trouble later on if I cant hear any sound?

I would really appreciate any help on either of the two Im stuck on, (and a PM including the answer to the music one if having no speakers is a critical issue) particularly if any are linked to that egg Im unable to find.

EDIT: got the egg on bodley mansion (centre) didnt realise that you could

change the file extension in the adress bar rather than save picture as .bmp

I would still appreciate help on the others unless Ive updated to say Ive found the solution.

Thought Id answer your questions seeing though Im online and know how frustrating this game can get without a bit of help.

Cryptographer:

think what the directions are telling you to do, given that you yourself have called it a clock, but bear in mind that this game doesnt always tell you the complete truth.

Chester:

dont think so much about what the words have in common in terms of meaning but maybe how they are set out on the page.

Could I get any hint on the cooking instruction for Dora Woods? I don't understand it at all.

I also can't find the thing I need to read on the Dead River with the lines...
