everyone keeps talking about the source code, but i feel really stupid because i dont have the least idea what your talking about???? please tell me where it is so i can try and use it on level 7!!
How to see source code:
IE:: In the menu bar, click on "view" and click on "source"
Mozilla:: In the menu bar, click on "view" and click on something like "source code of the page"
all of you trying to find out how to zoom the page i have sloved it it is easiest way way to do that by go to file and press the print preview there are zoom button
Level 1 hint: You really don't need a hint. The title is your best clue. It tells you the answer is ______.
<<DELETED BY MODERATION>>
Level 2 hint: The source code gives you directions on what to do, but also notice the numbers below. Are they coordinates?
Zoom in on the coordinates 24, 412
<<DELETED BY MODERATION>>
Level 3 hint: Your best clue is the text below the photo. How did Cleo kill herself.
What kind of snake did she use?
<<DELETED BY MODERATION>>
Level 4 hint: Look in the source code for a string of coordinates. Also note the slashes included with the coordinates. Use the coords with the grid by reading right/up. Start at the bottom left, and count to the right, then up. There are no zero rank or files (columns or lines).
/2,2 2,3 4,4 2,6 + 2,3 1,5 /2,2
/tombof/t
This will lead you to more pages with 'glyphs to decipher. Pretty soon you should be able to guess who.
<<DELETED BY MODERATION>>
Level 5 hint: The source code gives the clue "a lord can be found". What British Lord was associated with King Tut's tomb.
<<DELETED BY MODERATION>>
Now you get a page asking a very simple question. If you found the lord, you should be able to answer the query.
<<DELETED BY MODERATION>>
Level 6 hint: The source code gives the clues- "I gave my half a son...", "Half of 6?", and "who was on half of 6?". We know that Cleo was the subject of level 3. Who did she have a son by?
<<DELETED BY MODERATION>>
Level 7 hint: Look in the source code for the answer. There is a word on the next to last line that is not a command or prompt. Just above </html>, see it? Now think about the title...
<<DELETED BY MODERATION>>
Level 8 hint: I'm a big fan of hers, but you still might know who this is. She is the main character in a series of adventure games. She is what is known as a tomb raider. Google Tomb Raider and find her name, but wait, there's more. You enter her name as...
<<DELETED BY MODERATION>>
only to get another page. Now google "original name of /hint/". Read the the blurbs and you'll find the answer.
<<DELETED BY MODERATION>>
I'm going to start including the title in my hints. I'm no to sure about level 9????.
Level -1 "Paris is vast....": Everyone should know the name of this famous painting by Leonardo Da Vinci. Her first name is given in the source code as "mona2.jpg". Find out who she is, then google her location.
<<DELETED BY MODERATION>>
<<DELETED BY MODERATION>>
Level -2 "Chronicles of her life...": The text below the photo gives us the clue for a "tree". The source code gives us the clue "name the level". If your not as familiar with Lara as I am, google "lara croft chronicles levels" and look for a walktrough that list the level titles. "Name the level" + "tree", big hint.
Level 8 title in Tomb Raider Chronicles.
<<DELETED BY MODERATION>>e
The text below the photo tells us, we're looking for one of the artifacts found by Lara. The source code clue tells us "Tr 1 - atlantis". Google "lara croft" and look for a wikipedia link. Scroll halway down the page and you'll find a list of things Lara has found.
<<DELETED BY MODERATION>>
You need to know the first name of Lara's mentor. The clue "von croy" in the photo is the confirmation. Google "lara croft's mentor" and you'll find his first name in the blurbs. Next, write down his first name with the numbers "34512_" directly below it. This is not a cesar shift code, you want to shift the letters you have. If his name was "ABCDEF" you would wind up with "DEABC". The underscore means to omit that letter (source code).
Werner Von Croy is her mentor.
<<DELETED BY MODERATION>>
Title clue "Pyramids in space". Text clue "What links us?". Source code clues "Stars, pyramids,...", and "Any particular constellation?". I watch too many educational shows so this is general knowledge for me. Just above and to the right of the closest pyramid in the photo there is the target constellation. The 3 Great Pyramids were not built in a straight line because of the religious significance of the cluster of 3 stars in this constellation. Find the name of the constellation and what the cluster of 3 stars are referred to as and that's the answer.

Title clue "They worshipped us..." and the text clue "What are they?" led me to google "egyptian gods". The source code clue "Find the first letter of each one to make?" and the red 1 in the photo clued me to take the first letters of the gods' names to anagram for a word. The photo clue "sun, fertility, fertility, chaos" led me to which gods to google. There's a bunch of them.
<<DELETED BY MODERATION>>)
"Find the first letter of each one to make?"
<<DELETED BY MODERATION>>
Title is not a clue. Text clue "What a strange language..." and the script in the photo lead to the arabic language. The source code clue "Translate me..." and the photo of the great sphinx hint to a translation of sphinx. I found this one when I googled "meaning of sphinx" and linked to wikipedia. The translation for the arabic name of the great sphinx is...
<<DELETED BY MODERATION>>
Funny thing though, he doesn't look a thing like the guy I remember from growing up!
Title clue "Karnak is vast", no help. Text clue "Find me...", no help. Photo clue of ram-headed sphinxes, no help. Source code clue "My name?" is a help and the photo clue of the pointy thing is a help. With only 30 originals of these pointy things left in the world, I started researching the name of each one. Waste of time, all you need to know is what the pointy thing in the photo is. Not where it is. Not which one it is. Just what it is.
<<DELETED BY MODERATION>>
Title clue "Sciptures of an age...", an "age", hmmm, which age? Text clue "Our own paper", hmmm, wonder who the "Our" is? Source code clue is worthless. Age? + Our (i.e. people)?, so far the theme has been on Acient Egypt. The photo clue was a dead giveaway.
What kind of paper did they make in Acient Egypt?
<<DELETED BY MODERATION>>
Title clue "My origin", text clue "Where am i from?", source code clue "My name?", and the photo of the papyrus plants all good clues if you know what you're looking for. I finally got the answer from Britannica Student Encyclopedia. There's a certain name of the plant your looking for.
What's the scientific name of the plant?
<<DELETED BY MODERATION>>
Title and source code hold no clues. The text tells you what to do, "Add us....". The photo has some familiar looking images. Have we seen these before?
They're level screens.

Just in case my computer craps out, AGAIN!

Yes, but that is considered archaic and no longer used.
Have you got any other thoughts on this level?
A hint, a nudge, a point in the right direction, something. I know, how about a joke.
Did'ya hear the one about the dyslexic guy that walk into a bra?
Or how 'bout..
A sandwich walks into a bar and orders a beer. The bartender replies, "Sorry, we don't serve food in here."
The shortest sentence in the English language is "I am". The longest sentence in the English language is "I do".
Okay, I need to take a break and get some zzzzzz's. Tomorrow I'm going to email Mikenc in England who created this game. So far it's been a great game, I really enjoyed the levels related to Tomb Raider trivia.
I'll be back....
To N/A Guest that posted #117 in this thread:
I apologize for dismissing your thought so quickly. True, an overscored M represents 1,000,000 in roman numerals. I dismmissed that as archaic, forgetting the fact that I'm dealing with ancient numbers here. If you know of any way to overscore an m in the URL, I'll be more than happy to try.
I must be over thinking this. I've been researching the number 72 with Egypt. Found many things like Ptolemy XII was the reigning pharaoh from 80 BC thru 58 BC. He was Cleo's father. Useless, all useless.
I've tried to google "tomb of mystery riddle forum" and can only find 2 that are active. The one here at gamershood.com (great job by the way) and a single topic forum (out of 11,777 of them) at s14invisionfree.com. The other site shows no activity in the last couple of weeks and has very little on hints up to Leve 13(13) with nothing after that. Maybe I should post a "Help Wanted" ad in one of the chatrooms.
I'm beginng to wonder if this is the last level of an unfinished game.
Hey!!! My 100th Post!!! Woooohooooo!!!
What's an "Advanched User"? Shouldn't that be "Advanced"?
There is exactly 1,001,000 square kilometers in Egypt.
Level 15 More Mathematicas... SC clue: "Addition?" Txt clue: "Numbers of an ancient civilization....." Photo of 2 numerical glyphs, man with raised arms = 1,000,000, and the water lily = 1,000.
What is the relation between them? What am I missing?
I'm now well versed in A.E. mathematics and number glyph recognition. I've found that the "god with raised arms" is called heh and the "water lily" or "lotus plant" is called kha. Useless, all useless.
This might be something. At first I thought this was the correct expression of 1,001,000, but now I'm noticing the space between heh and kha. If it were 1,001,000 then they would be right next to each other. What am I missing?
Slam Bam, Thank You Ma'am!!! Got It!!! Nailed This Puppy !!!!!
Finally... V I C T O R Y ! ! !
Title clue, SC clue "Addition?", Txt clue "Numbers of an ancient civilization...", and the photo clue of heh and kha all lead us to think of numbers. If you google "ancient egyptian numbers" you will find many sites, all helpful. You don't have to know what their names are, just their sequence, values, and how to express A.E. numbers.
What two figures would go in the space in the middle of the photo?
What is the value of the frog and the finger?
110000
You have reached the end for now.....
How sad, no ending. Hope there's more to come.
Just to make it easier to check on updates on this riddle:

Source code: "Egyptian formulae...?" (these are known as 'egyptian fractions'), and "Write in letters..." are both big clues. Do the math for the fractions and find the smallest fraction that ? can represent.
reduce 36/42
reduce 18/21
sixsevenths
I don't think the page titled "Empty File" is a puzzle page. Probably just a dead end waiting for another puzzle for us to solve.
If anyone wants a little help, my hints and spoilers start on page 10 of this thread.
