The URL is the address like http://www.dotriddle.com

Usually you need to change the word before .htm or in this case before .php.
On level 1 check the source code, it tells you where to go.

translated the binary to numbers, but that got me nowhere

I tried that, both on letters (teest or tmrre) and on words (so before I finish with), but got gibberish, which also can't be anagramed

Use them on the words - notice the pattern. ("so" is not the first word, not sure why you got that...)
Also repeat that pattern until you get a sentence

oh, I see what I've done wrong.

I thought the 0's and 1's mean which words to take. I should have known to convert before applying on text.
