It bugged me for a while, but turned out I was waaaay overthinking it.

Just

look at it - "H2O" is the symbol for what, and then what does the whole word spell without the "2"?
Add the two together. Hope that helps.

I see the alphabet but the L is missing

this one does not seem to look familiar to me at all, no word is popping up in my head that has anything to do with alphabets at all.
