I'm stuck at some other levels too, but I'll wait and see how this goes before I ask for more.

Since I got through K47 my network problems are gone btw. I'm a bit curious about what foppery found out about it...

Ah yes. I took another look at the level, and it told me that

you only get 3 tries

The server is blocking your ip (or mac address maybe? I've never done one, so I'm not sure what is possible), easily fixable with a proxy. It's interesting that it blocks the whole site, not just the level/folder.

Although I can get around the block, I couldn't make full use of it, as I eventually had to solve the level with a un/pw pair from another level 47. (It looked simple, but I just couldn't get it. XP )

I also have a backlog of levels that I am stuck on (a great, great many), but I'll try a little harder before I post. |3

When I try using the characters given as they are, I find an egg page, and when I try doing what the clues tell me to do with them, I get more stumped.

That one was difficult for me, yet its hard to give hints because it's so easy in hindsight...

I assume the egg page asked "What was the name of the first screen of this level?" This is referencing the "Open, say it, write it" page, but that is the title, not the name. Using the name (+ righttoleft) you should be able to find another egg page/the answer.

Have you thought about the image name? When you know what you're looking for it's not too hard to find.

Check the source code carefully, you can find a lot of hints there of where you've might seen those names before.
Maybe you have to go back, to earlier levels. Like, waaaay back.

What exactly do you mean by that?
If you think the level I think it is to be solved easily; all the names have appeared earlier, at an 'unmistakable' point. If not, pm me via anything. ^_^

Hi everyone, I'm replaying all e.b.o.n.y. looking for missing levels, bonus or else.
At the moment I'm clearly missing the last three MM (I OBVIOUSLY don't have the required creativity for them AT ALL) but I'm probably missing more. (Like label5, some bonus levels and maybe a character to talk with).
Would you help me at least with the MM? ç_ç

For the MMs:

Chances are you won't find MM5 without a clue. Coldkick and I did but it was very time consuming and frustrating (not to mention confusing). I can, however, tell you that

a clue to its location can be found somewhere

also has a clue, albeit less obvious of a clue.

. This one is easier than MM5 to find. Figure out the level range for it and think "what levels look suspicious?" I can confirm/deny guesses.

MM7 was found incredibly fast, but there are, according to Aneninen, at least 3 ways of finding it. I've only figured out two so far though. Remember,

there's no such thing as a folder with too many secrets in it.

Mystic Marvels are hard to be found, that's what they are for. (Except for MM#2)
In my opinion, Mystic Marvel #4 is the silliest; there is a hint for Mystic Marvel #5 which is definitely ignored by all, I suppose.

Keep in mind that sometimes you might find a hint for something special on a higher level. This means, it's possible that certain screens can't be found at all (or, there is a very thin chance) until some of the later levels appear.

Server block

Hello everyone,
I noticed (after a long EBONY break) that new levels are out and I wanted to try them. Some levels required user/pass (not their own's, but, as usual, the last pair of their path, like the credentials from M53 for instance).
After a while, I noticed that the server was not responding, but was back in 20 minutes or so. I assumed some maintenance work, but the outage seemed periodical. I got "clever" and I used a proxy during an "outage" - lo and behold, the server was back.
It seems like the server is periodically blocking those incoming requests which require authentication (I have all the un/pw noted down, so I couldn't have made too many mistakes, and, nevertheless, this was never a problem in the past).

My questions are: is anybody experiencing these? (I saw only one mention on the forum). Is this a new policy? If yes, what do we do with those un/pw levels on which you guess a lot of garbage until you finally find the solution? Will the server block me because it thinks I am some trespasser desperate to get "in"?

I cannot afford to use a proxy all the time - some proxies slow down the network, block some other pages etc.

As I have been informed, an "update" on the server side which after a few attempts blocks the user's ip has been implemented recently. It has taken place without asking and informing me, despite the fact that I have been paying for the service. So far the company hosting E.B.O.N.Y. has seemed to have an uncooperative attitude.
Creating and applying a new method instead of the normal username/password system, which should work and has been working, is going to take A LOT OF time and effort. Especially, since the issue affects more than 30 pages.
Considering the fact that I have to make a living meanwhile, which consumes a considerable amount of time and energy, resolving this issue will result a SIGNIFICANT delay in the arrival of the new levels.

I hope that I've managed to make it clear that in connection with this issue – which, eventually, makes me so upset that it has made me on this forum more formal than ever – players ought to address their 'greetings' to the host, instead of the creator from now on.

update

Resolving the issue is under process, it seems that there might be a solution so as to get the ip ban ignored from user side (by me). Right now I'm busy, I'll sort it out as soon as I can.

Meanwhile, the ban activates after the 15th attempt and it lasts for 1 hour.
I hope I can get it removed fast.
