so stuck @ 44

Been playing for 3 nights now and I am SO stuck on 44. I was stuck last night and I am still stuck on this sucker!!

So far I've got:

"question goes here" Got the M8 thing, I'm not sure I've got the first word right, or if I've even GOT the crossword right and gone through the maze. Who knows!! So frustrating.

Am I just hitting my head against the wall for nothing? (Also, thanks for all the advice for getting up to here!)

Argh.. I'm stuck on levels 49a and 49b.. anyone give me a couple of fairly large hints on these??

EDIT: nvm.. I've completed level 49a.. can't believe how easy it was.. and how dumb I was!

Hi, I've already completed the zahada puzzles inc the bonus 2.
but i'm afraid i need help on the first bonus level...
I've already done what i had to do and found what appears to be a word, however hard to decypher it was...

I believe the text to say NAME. however i could be entirely wrong... considering this and the "Compass bearings" to follow the "Trail", i figured i needed the name of a well known trail.. i found the Appalachian Trail on google and tried several variations of this. nothing. I need help. if anyone has done this level i would just like to know if im on track or something i might be missing.
