I tried

methan alkane c1h4, buthen and so on too, although this isn't with only one carbon, I tried oil and petroleum where it comes from, and wiki doesn't tell more, the only help on wiki is, that I must not translate the specific words, when I look in the english version.

I really need a hint, if I have to thing in chemistry or another way.
