Glitch out of order?

hi! I can't find where to stand to unlock the Black gate with the Black Key! I know there's a sign that says you need the black key, but I have it equipped on GreenCastle, and yet I still don't see anything happening near that sign!

Is this because I equipped the black key to the wrong character? Or because I beat the snake-headed guy too early in the game and caused a glitch? please help! Thanks!

In the library in Arette, there is a room with a puzzle about the bible. Beyond that there is a giant cockroach running around. Run into him and beat him and he gives you the black key.

I am not really good at this game and that's why I need help.In the manor you fight this boss.He was pretty hard but i beat him.This is gonna be pretty short but what do you do next?

Before when I didn't play greencastle for like 4 months my file was deleted even though there was still a green "continue" button. When i clicked it the game was screen was BROWN AND THERE AS NO WAY TO MOVE OR CONTINUE IN THE GAME!!! I didnt play for about 15 minutes and it happened again! Do I have to make a new file?If not how can I stop this? How do I prevent this?

For the problem with the brown screen I found out more about it.It doesn't happen all the time,when the game loads it seems to be the slowest thing to load,and sometimes after I start the game(this only happens once every time I continue)when I get into an encounter it all of a sudden restarts to the part where you are supposed to press"continue of new game".I guess it doesn't matter that much does it?
