  • Warzone Tower Defense

Warzone is a tower defense game where you must attempt to survive as long as possible by building the most efficient line of defense.

Darn good score donaud. I agree this one has all the good TD features.

Best so far is 40K. Working on the wall blocks.

Managing the airplanes is the hardest part, by far.

This game is so addicting !!

            Warzone tower defense tips

Heres a pic from the game while still doing comfortably. Had to quit but, unless something happened to make the game drastically harder, could have gone a long time like this.

Basically the key is to have three routes into your base. It doesn't work with two - al least not for long. The strategy is to ring your base with a wall leaving one block empty to open yourself up to one of the three lines of the attack. Then, when the enemy gets close, you open up a different pathway into your base and close off the previous path just before the enemy gets there. The game works in that you have to have one path open and all enemies will move towards that path (and out of any other path that they may have progressed down). The reason that it doesn't work with two paths is that, while you switch paths, there will be a slight overlap while both paths are open. The enemies will get steadily closer.

With only one path of three open you will only have enemies getting closer on one path while (if they can) they will be moving out of their other paths and, at this stage, the game could go on and on.

            This was my initial plan

Started with a couple of light cannons and with the just the middle pass left open. Bought a phase tower as soon as I could and then went from there. The three passes gave an ideal start for the three path strategy.

I could have done better if I had followed on from the two square wide passes with short lengths of two square wide paths. Maybe I'll try that another time. I'd also like to find a way to develop a pool of enemies, like the one shown earlier, but without phase towers. Instead I'd position heavy cannons to shoot them like fish in a barrel.
