Well, it's my island after all, and it looks a bit empty without a picture in the encyclopedia Problem is that I'm no good with making 3D pictures, plus I'm not too fond of 3D animation, I'm much more into oldschool graphics, as you all have seen, so I was thinking of making it in pixel art But that's going to be extremely hard when I don't know how to do proper pixel art yet, plus I have no idea for how the island should look except to use lots of silver and grey colours

And well, I think that creativity overflow from previous is kinda worn out now

What is pixel art exactly? I mean, how do you make it? Is it similar to creating icons just bigger?

He has to have humor, with you being on GH and ROFLing all the time If he hadn't you'd have been committed by him to the real looney bin by now

Well I hope so That's the good thing about my creativity, as long as I don't focus on trying to get ideas, they usually pop into my mind automatically

And pixel art is just what you have in old games basically, graphics made based on pixels, so squared and usually limited to 256 colours. However pixel artists put pride into making great graphics, and they spend days adjusting their graphics until they're perfect. They use things like how colours match to make borders in figures without using black, and shades of the same colour to make something have depth and using checkered patterns to create dithering and thus making something look more 3D.

So basically it's about making an incredibly amount of details using a limited amount of colour and a variety of techniques on a small space. There are two kinds of pixel art, isometric, and non-isometric. There's also an article about it on Wiki

Well, it's the same for me with creativity. I can't just sit down and say, now I'm going to do this or that, I have to get a picture in my mind and an urge to work on it

Exactly Whenever I get an idea for a program or a game, just something for me to program, I usually quickly develop a mental image. I can see the entire program inside my head, exactly how it's going to look, how it's going to work, the interaction and everything.

Then I usually end up writing my ideas down for a while, trying to make them as detailed as possible. But that's the problem with writing, no matter how much I write, I can't possibly describe the program or game I see in my head precisely, so I usually try to rely more on my memory and that image than on writing ideas down.

And then I usually start programming a little bit, until I then somehow get inspired and get a new idea for something else and then restart the proces

No, I haven't really made a picture, I haven't followed the tutorials yet, although I've found some good ones. But I've learned a little about the kind of lines to use, and I started making a blueprint of something I'd like to make

Well, I have also a picture of my new game, and also a rough plot. But unfortunately I didn't get to develop it further lately. But I will make it
I usually go into a creativity phase and I work like mad until it is finished. So as soon as I'll have this phase, I will make it

Btw, I printed out the last post of Adventure story and I'm reading the new chapter, OMG Lilli had also a creativity overflow

Well, I have a lot to learn from you then Like I said, I get easily distracted because I let my mind run amock I need to sit down more and work hard and focused on one project at a time and then actually complete it

And yes, the rough plot goes for me too, I usually don't know exactly what will happen, I have to figure that out from the image and from what's possible for me to program. I hope you'll have that phase soon

And no, not your latest games, I tried your first games until the Save The Earth one, but those puzzles were either too hard or my brain was malfunctioning because after that I figured I wouldn't be able or have the patience to finish your games, I'm not good with puzzle games, patience wise that is

Don't worry about the story, you have enough to take care of already, the story can wait Besides it took me 2 weeks to add a new chapter

ROFL! Ummm...yeah, I have followed the walkthrough for all of the games actually I usually give up too easily because of my lack of patience, and I tend to play games just for curiosity and to get through them, not so much to have fun...it's a bad habit of mine

And yeah, maybe I should drink some water and sleep a little, and then try to play them tonight What is the right phase however?

Oh btw, my Neko avatar is an example of great pixel art, a great deal of detail on a small space and it looks good as well That's why I love it I guess it's kinda like a reminder to me of what to achieve.

Yes, I can easily write a story if it has something to do with something I feel passionate about, especially computers And I think it's fun to use computer terms and mix them into a story, both because nobunny will have a clue what I mean, but also because it becomes like an internal joke/story/thing between Mistery and I

And the reason I mentioned you is because I've noticed that every time you are in the proces of writing a chapter for one of the stories, you often write here that you have gotten a new idea and that your evil pinky is twitching So you're obviously very creative when it comes to writing It's a good way of comparing with what Mistery and I have been talking about

ROFL! Lilli, I mean because Mistery and I are very much alike, logical minded, crazy about computers, creative, game developers. So I can write lots of computer stuff in my chapters that I know for sure she will understand, so in a way it becomes internal between her and me I'd never leave you out otherwise

Speaking of all this, I have to say that the thing I love most about this place is the huge amount of creativity that is always flowing through here
