No lili, it has nothing to do with the looney bin, the words Lilli often mentions are things they say in Sweden, where they use words that means one thing in English, but something different in Swedish

Okay, here is Lilli's explanation in spoilers:

Swedish word under= under (english) swedish word känd=known but in this case for some reason the swede must have thought of känna=feel which in past tence is känt=felt. Hence underkänt= underfelt only "underkänt" means failed in english
