Escape, I used to... But my sis help me a lot and I don't think I have to stay up all night this year. (I think very good mothers and women finish cooking before the midnight...) And we, my family, usually go to see the sunrise around 7 am, then to the shrine. Later we have that meal then I take a short sleep. Still the meal is enjoyable even if I'm exhausted.

And the designed driver? I just talked about it with the phily guy last night.
He said he's gotta be very careful not to caught by the police, otherwise he'll never come back to Japan to do his job. I hope you can enjoy the Eve this year too.

Crazy, I konw you will get really shocked if it was diabetes. I really hope not!!!!!!!!!!!

@ Lili...Wow! It sounds like a lot of work, but also like a very enjoyable tradition!! Sounds similiar to how our Thanksgiving here in America is, as far as the cooking. It's a lot of work, but very enjoyable. How cool that you go to see the sun rise on the first day of the New Year! The only way this night owl will see a sun rise is if I am still awake from the day before. I am such a silly night owl cat.

Who is the Phily guy? Some guy from Philadelphia? I'm vonfused. And, I am sure I will enjoy this New Year's Eve, no matter what I do.

Escape, Pffft, Not a silly kittie! And seeing the sun rise on New Yeas Day is also the tradition... Many tradition in New Years Holiday...
hmm, Yes I remember how big the Thanksgiving meal was!! I can find the pic of our traditional meal on that day later.
And the Phily guy is an english teacher from Philadelphia and my friends attend to his class. I used be in that class, not now but I join the dinner after the class.

@ Lili...What a wonderful tradition to see the sun rise! Everyone over here in the U.S. is probably already passed out by 2 a.m. and won't wake in time for the sun rise. So when you came and visited the U.S. (in Colorado, I think you said ) you were there for Thanksgiving? Yummy! And, yes, please, if you can post a pic of your New Year's dinner that would be cool! Okay....so the Phily guy was your English teacher for awhile. Got it.

Murph, I had an internet connection problem!!! So I couldn't come here whole day again! I tried everything, the computer set-ups, LAN set-ups, made a phone call to the internet provider.... And I finally figured out what I needed was updating windows/microsoft.
