Well sure. But I am not good at it. One of my favourite painters is Vermeer. No not because he is Dutch, but because I really like his works.

No, you are very, very right. She was attacked by her teacher (NOT Caravaggio then, someone else) and had to go to court about it. Notice the date of the paintings. How often do you see a female artist in 1600?

Well I can think of any other female. I just had read about the atack in Wiki. It somehow suprise me that the atacker was condemned. Most of the times in that time they gave the women the fauld of it, GRRRRRRRRRR!

Seems also a bit in the style of Rembrandt (dark/light effects).
