To me it was exotic to visit NY. It felt like I was in one of em' movies, ya know, were there are skyscrapes and policecars and people in a hurry everywhere..

Hi, Lilli

on the subject of crime, I used to live near an American base in the uk....there where loads of Americans who came over and where sooo weary about crime, even though I used to live in the middle of nowhere!!
One day my dad's car backfired outside the local shop, and all the American's inside dived towards the floor thinking it was a gunshot. It was kind of scary seeing their reaction, even though nothing like that happened round there!

Yeah this world we live in today can be so full of hate & crime it is a shame.

@Onebun, yes it is a shame, I was lucky in growing up in a place that it wasn't an issue, now I've moved to a city things are starting to become different
