It is monday morning, so here it's 9 hours later.

Wow....crazy! My brother and his wife are stationed in Okinawa, Japan and they are something like 16 or 17 hours later than me. I'm glad it's not Monday morning here yet...I don't feel like going to work, then school!!

I don't feel like going to school, but some good friends will be there, so that is lighting it up a bit. On the moment we only have boring subjects like mathematics, chemistry and netherlands. Well we also have Biology, but it is too easy in my opinion. Everything that is told in the lessons is also in the book, so it's quite boring.

So you are doing night school? I did that for a half year, but I didn't like it, especially when the day light was getting shorter. Brrr, that cold and dark stations. I am glad I quit with it, but it is a long time ago.

BTW can anybody tell me what 0_o means?

Friends always make school better!!! So you are studying to be a paravet? Is that different from just a veternarian? What kinds of things do they teach you in "Netherlands" class?

Yes, I work 40 hours per week at a law office - boring - but I have to pay the bills. I take classes at night at the University here. I'm studying psychology, but am wishing I was a biology major of some sort instead.

Looks exhausting to me. Why did you choose for psychology if you like biology more?

Yep I am studying paraveterinary, and it is just the official name for a veterinar assistent. It's a kind of specialisme in the branche wich allow you to do more then a normal asistent, which in fact only may hold or fix animals and do counter/administration work.

Well we are almost finished with the Netherlands class, so we only have to listen to argumentations from or class mates or do our own argumentation. So most of the times it's quite boring as well.

Ya, my schedule can be exhausting, but I have weekends and two evenings per week to relax, hang out with my friends, or play on the computer (after homework, of course). I chose psychology when I was forced to pick a major and was actually very interested in it. I still am, but as I have gotten further in school, I have decided biology is more interesting. But, now I am a senior, and it's too late to change my major. That's okay though.

Being a paraveternarian must be very rewarding. I love animals, and think that being a vet takes a very special talent and patience.

Hmm, I guess you are not up to a biology mayor after you finish this one. After you get your psychology mayor, you will look for work in this branche? Or do you have other plans?

Yes, it's very rewarding but sometimes very exhausting as well. You have to think of everything and be at three places at same the time. Especially when you work in a better and/or larger clinic. And I aggree, a vet must have a special talent and patience, but not only towards animals, also towards humans. They fist have to convince the owner before they can help their animal. Of course we paraveterinaries have to deal with this also and help the vet with this, without being out of order, what can be different in every clinic.

Yes, I plan on working in the area of psychology. Even advertising (surprisingly) is in the area of psychology. But, because I don't yet know what I want to do (I hate not knowing), I am taking a Careers in Psychology class right now. I don't want to go back to get a second degree (in Biology) right away after I graduate..I'll be too burned out.

Wow...there seems to be so much involved in veterinary (and paraveterinary) practice. You are rignt, I have seen my share of "difficult" humans in the vet's office when I used to have to bring my kitty there. Bravo to you for having that special talent/ability with people AND animals!!

Thanks, but I am not there yet. I graduate in about one year and then I got hopefully soon work in the veterinary clinic or maybe in a zooparc (I am already diplomated for that). But I am also thinking of studying micro biology, but I will wait and see what I think of that in about a year.
