i knew it, however i'm not living in Switzerland. I just know Switzerland has always been independent.

Yes, independent and neutral. So some people are afraid to give it up or that this couldn't be lost if entered EU.

Yeh, I know Switserland had always be independent or neutral during wars. But if that is the reason why they aren't a member of the EU i will be a little bit confused. In the end it woudn't be a rational decision.
