I think you can actually experience sleeping, while your conscious is awake so to speak. But normally your conscious would be asleep too.

@Lilliput: wow your roommate knows a lot about oddysseus! i know some parts of his trip back to his house, with the cyclope, he stranded somewhere and a girl found him when playing with a ball with her slaves, he could get an arrow trough (i think) 10 uhm i don't know the word in english, so when he got home his wife didn't recognize him, their slave did, but he wanted to keep it a secret. so his wife decided that night (he had been away for 20 years) to take one of the many men in her houes (they wanted to marry her) to be her new husband. they had to do that trick (with the arrrows), if one of them could, she would pick him to be her husband. so they all tried, no-one could. suddenly oddysseus stood up and killed them all with the arrows. lol i've translated lots of texts in greek so i remember them and they're really good! i really like them. his mates have been transformed into pigs once.. lol,..Dream as if you'll Live forever, Live as if you'll Die today
