@Lili: well, it's populair, but not as populair as soccer, that's kind of our national sport. horseriding is mostly populair for young girls, but once you get in the professional sport, there are more men than women, i find that very interesting hhaha but most girls give up horseriding when they're about 12-13 years old because they think horseriding is un-cool

@Lili: well, i don't think it's hard to compete with men, because the horse does it for you, you don't have to be really strong, if you know how to lead the horse, that's all, you have to be 'master' of the horse, both men and women can do that i would LOVE to play polo once! that's sooo cool

@Hollandgirl,Hehe, I don't know much about horse riding. I heard that women have one advantage over horse riding, women are usually lighter than men. That's what I saw in TV about horse racing.

yes, that's true with horse-racing Lili! there's also one advantage for men with showjumping, mostly women ride mares, because they're easier to handle, but men can ride stallions too, because they can let the horse feel th&#233;y are the leader, and stallions are better horses (just like men can do better than women in sports) but those factors aren't important for dressage or races
