@Charmed, edit my post on the previous page (already 25 minutes ago), in case you missed it.

I was longer away then I thought I would..

@Hyper it's not the zombies, just a lack of energy.

@Escape, no apparently not. The world doesn't exists only of looneys.

And if you could read Dutch I might send a story of him to you. But only with his approval of course. And I don't know if it’s ever gonna to published. It would been nice, but it's not the reason why he writes. His first three stories are been at a publisher and he got very good comments back. The only one big minus point was that, they found it too much balancing between a children's book and a adult's book. Because of not existing creatures and talking animals, but the languages was definitely for adults and a lot of parts are just really not suitable for kids. So they said that he had to choose if he was going to write for adults or for kids. I think and with me a lot of friends that this is really nonsense but they think there is not a market for it.

Btw I thought actually the same about .. let the kids clean up their own mess. Maybe I am more mean then I thought.

@ Adventure.....Hmm... Yes, it sounds like your hubby mostly writes just because he loves to do it. That's the best reason to write, and if you can get paid for doing what you love, all the better. And....there are a lot of adults who like fantasy stories. He could choose to write for adults. Fairy tales with adult content. I dunno. I'm no publisher so I don't really know the market.

I wish I could read Dutch! All I know now, are some greetings. (Thanks to you! ) The only second language I know even a little of, is Spanish. I had 3 years of it in High School. I use it with some of our clients when I am at work. And they help me with it, too. But I would love to be multi-lingual.

Ugh...gotta go take some Excedrin for my headache...

@Escape, awww poor cat. I wish I could remember that trick that helped Mystery got rid of it.

He already has chosen for adults. The only thing is that the publisher find that not existing creatures and talking animal belongs into a story for adults.
But that is just nonsense, because most fairy tales are actually not written for kids. Only companies like disney make them higly suitable for kids. And if you are gonna talk about Asian fairy tales, the most of them are definitely not suitable for kids. And then there are also some famous Dutch writers, which has done the same. But they don't wanna take a risk. I can understand that of course, but that he has to choose between writing for kids or writing for adults is just nonsense, Of course this stays just a opinion but it also just a opinion of them

@Charmed, I didn't know that. That is because I don't have kids myself, lol. I believe immediate that your kids are good people.

@Adventure..I read only fantasy stories. Usually sagas. Tell your husband to check out authors like C.S. Lewis and Philip Pullman. They are the greatest fantasy writers of all time (in my opinion). When I tried to get my older kids to read them, they didn't really understand them. And don't forget Tolkein with The Lord of the Rings trilogy. There is a market for his kind of writing.
