you know that dust is dead skin and while u sleep dust mites eat at the dead skin on you and your matress is like full of it and your pillow gains pounds over years and those pounds are dust mites :l you cant fear them becasue you cant escape them so just deal with it

also why would you learn that in home ec??? i take food studies in home ec the only other option is textile do you take textile?
