For the Doll festival, parents wish the best luck and good health for their daughter. They decorate the dolls for her about 1 or 2 weeks before the festival and they are suppose to take the dolls away right after this day is over, it's said if they miss it their daughter cannat get married when she's young.
In some places the dolls are for avoiding a bad luck. They fold the paper dolls and float them away on the river.

Interesting festival, huh?

Of course we have nice meals and sweets too!!
