Hi, I'm back. Still rumbling a little but the worst is over....I think. I am really, really, really afraid of thunderstorms. Just one more thing I hate about spring and summer!!!!
@ Son...Well, being your our son...I don't see why not. Of course, it's your grandma's house....so you'd have to check with her. Seems she's kinda timed out...but my daughterly senses tell me she'll probably return in a moment or two.
EDIT: No problem, dear son. Seems da mom of mine said yes!
@ Charmed....I was visiting my mom in Missouri last summer...and OMB!! They had tornadoes (I'm a California girl...never seen a tornado) in surrounding areas (it was dark, I never saw one) but the horrible, horrible thunderstorms were crazier than any I've ever seen in California! I was driving, and lightning was LITERALLY striking areas ahead of us that were much less than a mile away! It was POURING down rain, too! Man....that was a scary drive.
I was just looking out my kitchen window and saw a tree get struck by lightning a couple of houses away!!!! *goes to hide*
@Escape..the past couple of year we have had a few tornados here. I don't like wind either so my kids have to take over and be brave for me We have a lot of "micro bursts" here. They do a great amount of damage and are really scary!!
@ Aunt Charmed...ya....that's scary!! *lets da aunt borrow da BatCat cape...* Sounds like a similar storm like the one I drove in! I hope it leaves you alone. Use your majikyl powers on it.
@ Charmed....I'm kinda interested in weather, so even though it can be scary it's intriguing to me. I have heard of those micro bursts. Don't remember exactly what they are though. And, well, if your kids pierce their noses, they're a lot more brave than me!
I was driving through the Sacramento valley one night a few years ago, and a tornado touched down. It was dark and SOOOOO windy. A huge green and white freeway sign went blowing in front of my car and my mom (who was a passenger) and I just stared at it as we drove down the Interstate 80 at 15 mph!
A tornado in Calif.? I thought you only had to worry about wild fires and earthquakes!!! A micro burst is a very severe thunderstorm like the ones that accompany tornadoes. Only there is no funnel cloud.

@ Charmed....Ya....apparently California gets approximately 7 tornadoes per year. (mild ones). But that was the first one I have ever been around. Luckily - again - it was dark. I was wondering why the winds were so strong! Saw it on the news the next day. Damaged a few homes. But they're nothing like the tornadoes in the midwest.
And ya...Earthquakes here on da San Andreas fault and surrounding faults are what I'm more used to. (Not the "BIG" ones, though. )
@ Mom....Oh, I'm sorry. *comforts da frightened mom AND da aunt* Should a storm come our way, I'll just tie a rope to ya, and hold on tight. You'll be safe. Da husbun can help keep ya safe too.
@ All....Well, gotta wrap up a few work thingies, then off to class. Have a wonderful time Gamershooding. Hope to see you both soon!!!
*Thinks da sis is really silly* Why would ya do that? *Opens portal* For sumbunny with majikyl powers you really should know how ta do this *Steps into portal and out into da beautiful sunny weather on Carrot Island* Are ya comin'?
@Escape
*Feels better cuz da daughter is comforting da little islander mom* Or... I'd hide in da sisters coffin
Good bye, my dear wonderful daughter! HUUUUUUUUGE WARM HUG Drive safely and have fun at class
