I got home for lunch to find that she made a big puppy mess in her crate. So I got to spend half my lunch giving her a bath and cleaning out her crate.

@Shining--I'd rather start earlier--we only get 2 days off for Thanksgiving now. But Texas passed a law that school can't start until the last week in August. Why? Because it's better for TOURISM! To me, it seems a bit out of control when we let something like that dictate how we run the education system.

thats sad they are taking time out of education or putting it off to have better tourism! and only 2 days for thanksgiving!!! thats insane! how people don't make plans to go visit their family in other states!

Buttttt she will have to get used to it. Starting Thursday, I won't be able to come check on her at lunch--so she'll be by herself for 7+ hours.

@lilli. I did. thank you. I talk on the phone alot for my job, so I have to run often. Meetings, long drives, and phone calls. I call it smoke and mirrors. Now you see me, now you don't. It's a fun job though.

I agree with crimson about the schools. They say the economy is down, so they take from the schools to increase the tourism income. Who do they think are going to run the restaurants, hotels, parks someday?
