urm...exactly they WERE...and i think the stigma attached to them arent what im goin for plus u dun see many people in japanese clubs goin around wif that look now do u?not that ive even been to japan but im guessin!

Oh, there are plenty of geishas still in Japan. Sure! And they are so BEAUTIFUL! Very sophisticated ladies although their history might be less then lovely

The book was great, but the movie was not. It was too much of a love story and nothing about feudal japan

yea i read it a loooooong time ago way before the movie came out..when i was like 19 or so...cant really remember the details but i remember the general geist of it was a good book u should read it...ive read quite a few books in my time d only one i didnt read is Da vinci Code cos everyone was readin it and im a rebel i prefer to read books before they become famous or movies

@teeod i never saw the movie cos i believe the books are better than the movies,as u can use ur imagination and once u have read the book it just ruins the whole imagination u had when u read d book,the whole fantasy attached to it and also movies always change it tremendously

my fave book ever is the scarlet letter by nathaniel hawthorne...have u heard of it? there was movie as well with demi moore actin in it

yeah we had to read it in high school. My favorite is And Then There Were None by Agatha Christie

Really? I read one. Da Agatha is fun ta read but now adays I go for Minette Walters and Patricia Cornwell

Yeah it was a great book. I haven't read any of her books in a long time. I've been reading some Stephen King here recently

Ive read a few books by Agatha Christie and a few by Anne RIce but ive read more by Stephen King
hahahah i remember when iw as younger all the girls were always reading sweet valley high ive read every single series of it! man hahahaha when i tried readin it some time back from my old collection i was like wot d heck did i see in it! KIDS stuff i suppose
you guys should read the life of pi...its amazin such a twist and so good
